FOX News: OSU, OU taking weather forecasting to new heights

"Really it's about improving our understanding of the atmosphere and applying that directly to forecasting,” said Dr. Jamey Jacob, a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at OSU.

Along with more than 60 engineers and scientists from OSU and partner universities, Jacob helped developed a program now known as CLOUD-MAP. The program’s focus is on the use of unmanned aerial systems in the collection of weather and atmospheric data. Each university is applying its own expertise."
