(STILLWATER, Okla., March 14, 2016) – The OSU Staff Advisory Council presented Kristi Wheeler, manager of engineering distance education in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, with the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) at the Staff Development Day Luncheon on Wednesday, March 2.
Nathan Cragun, coordinator of outreach education, nominated Wheeler for the award. Wheeler says she was very surprised but also very honored to be selected as a recipient of the DSA.

OSU CEAT alumna Cassie Mitchell received the Bobby Dodd Institute Circle of Excellence award on March 2, 2016.

Mitchell graduated summa cum laude with her B.S. in chemical engineering from OSU in 2004. While at OSU, she was named a USA Today Academic All-American, a National Barry M. Goldwater Scholar and an OSU Outstanding Senior, among numerous other awards and accolades.

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 8, 2016) – Adam Cobb, a doctoral student in natural resource ecology and management, was awarded first place and $1,000 at the fourth Oklahoma State University Graduate College Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition for thesis master’s and Ph.D. students on March 3 in the Student Union Theater. Cobb presented on sustainability in farming systems; linking soil ecology to improved food nutritional quality. He will represent OSU in the regional 3MT competition in February 2017.

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 7, 2016) – Zeel Maheshwari, doctorate student in electrical and computer engineering, won the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on February 18, 2015, with her thesis concentrated on smart integrated renewable energy systems (SIRES) for rural communities. Maheshwari will be competing in the OSU 3MT finals held on March 3, 2016.

David Hidinger, chemical engineering senior, was awarded a Free Enterprise scholarship for excelling in coursework, furthering his education in free enterprise and participating in the OSU Free Enterprise Society.
