CEAT Incoming Freshmen Information

Incoming Freshmen Matriculation

A freshman who has been admitted to OSU can be enrolled directly into a CEAT pre-professional degree program if the student has met one of the following sets of performance requirements:

  • A 24 ACT/1090 SAT/1160 SAT-R composite score or better AND a 24 ACT MATH/560 SAT MATH/600 SAT-R MATH or better

OR

  • 24 ACT/1090 SAT/1160 SAT-R composite score or better AND achieve a 3.5 GPA, unweighted, or better in 15-unit core

If an admitted freshman does not meet these performance requirements, the student may enroll in University College in the pre-CEAT program and work with a CEAT-focused advisor to gain the academic background for enrollment in CEAT pre-professional degree programs. The student will be enrolled in a CEAT pre-professional degree program when he/she has met the following performance requirements:

  • ready to enroll in degree required Calculus I course

AND

  • has at least a 2.5 OSU cumulative GPA

Transfer Student Matriculation

Transfer students admitted to OSU can enroll directly into a CEAT pre-professional degree program if they satisfy the following:

  • are qualified to enroll in degree required Calculus I or higher in the MATH sequence,

AND

  • Cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5

Transfer students who do not meet the above requirements may enroll in University College in the pre-CEAT program until they meet the qualifications for enrolling in a CEAT pre-professional program.
