OSU architectural engineering alumna Carrie Johnson receives NCSEA Lifetime Achievement Award

Carrie Johnson, P.E., S.E., a graduate of Oklahoma State University’s architectural engineering program, has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations. The award recognizes Johnson’s decades-long leadership, service and lasting contributions to the structural engineering profession.

OSU's Engineering South renovation wins prestigious national award for architecture

The sweeping renovation of Oklahoma State University’s Engineering South has earned national recognition, winning first place in the Whole Building category of Retrofit Magazine’s 2025 Metamorphosis Awards. The project was a collaboration between Rand Elliott Architects – an Oklahoma City-based nationally, recognized firm by OSU alumnus Rand Elliott, FAIA – and OSU’s College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology.

MAE graduate research assistant Bunty Tomar receives Graduate Excellence in Materials Science Sapphire Award

Bunty Tomar, a graduate research assistant in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, was honored with the Graduate Excellence in Materials Science Sapphire Award from the Basic Science Division of The American Ceramic Society – a prestigious industry award for emerging scholars.  

OSU alumnus James Lansford named IEEE Life Fellow

Oklahoma State University electrical and computer engineering alumnus James Lansford has been named a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, effective Jan. 1, 2026, in recognition of his leadership in wireless standards and wireless coexistence.
