Master’s in Electrical Engineering Ranked in Top 25
STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State University has been selected as one of the top 25 best online master’s in electrical engineering by BestColleges.com.
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers two fully online master’s programs for those who seek a convenient, value-added, professional education. Distance learners can stream lectures online or download them as compressed files. All active duty military students receive in-state tuition for Oklahoma State’s online engineering programs.
The School’s Master of Engineering program (MEngEE) emphasizes coursework and professional development. The Master of Science program (MSEE) emphasizes both coursework and research that culminates in a published thesis. Both of these programs emphasize mathematical and physical concepts, state-of-the-art technologies, and design and analysis methodologies associated with the broad field of electrical engineering.
Courses in the program cover a wide range of topics including energy and power, computer-based systems, digital and analog electronics, control systems, communications, signal processing, electromagnetics, and photonics. All courses are taught by subject-matter experts with vast research, industrial, or academic experience.
The School also offers bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering (BSEE) and computer engineering (BSCpE), and a dual degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering. Additionally, the School recently created a new, accelerated “4+1” program that combines the BSEE or BSCpE program with the MEngEE program.
According to Dr. Jeffrey Young, Head of ECE, “the School offers a wide range of rigorous degree programs on the Stillwater campus or online to serve just about anyone at any stage of their professional engineering development. Our goal is to provide educational experiences that prepare both traditional and non-traditional students for a rewarding career in electrical engineering or computer engineering.”
