(STILLWATER, Okla., March 4, 2013) –The benefits of Oklahoma State University changing from diesel to natural gas transit buses will soon be characterized and quantified in a study by Dr. Phil Lewis, assistant professor in OSU’s School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. OSU’s Parking and Transit Services Department has given Dr. Lewis the green light to study the benefits of burning clean.

(STILLWATER, OK., March 1, 2013) -- The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents voted today to award an honorary doctor of science degree to legendary astronaut and native Oklahoman General Thomas P. Stafford during commencement ceremonies in May. The request now goes to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for final approval.

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 1, 2013)-  Oklahoma State University has been given an Excellent University Award from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for student and faculty efforts to support the industry.

OSU is one of sixteen schools to earn an ACI Excellent University Award for 2012. More than 60 other universities around the world with ACI student chapters were eligible for the award, as well as a number of other universities with faculty involved in ACI committees and research projects.

OSU Automation Day on March 1st 2013

The OSU Automation Society proudly presents – its biggest event of the year – THE OSU AUTOMATION DAY on March 1st 2013. Automation Day celebrates and creates awareness about Automation as a career choice and research focus on the OSU Campus. The Automation Day features several events all through the day including a keynote presentation, automation contest, guest presentations, poster competition and networking dinner. (STILLWATER, Okla., February 21, 2013) –Three facilities on the Stillwater campus of Oklahoma State University have reached the $1 million mark in energy savings.  The buildings are the Advanced Technology Research Center, Boone Pickens Stadium and the Wes Watkins Center for International Trade Development. 

This milestone is part of a system-wide savings of more than $22 million since OSU’s Energy Conservation Program began in July 2007.
