(STILLWATER, Okla., March 13, 2017) – The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology has established partnerships that connect Oklahoma State University and the public sector. Two of the College’s outreach programs have an extensive partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) to train federal employees throughout the state and surrounding areas with facilities located on or near the Stillwater campus.

Two Oklahoma State University entrepreneurship incubator teams comprised of students from the Spears School of Business, the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, and the College of Arts and Sciences were among the top winners this past weekend in the finals of the Baylor Business New Venture Competition.

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 2, 2017) – The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology recently hosted the Boy Scout Merit Badge University in the new engineering south Annex.
In a university-wide partnership, CEAT Dean Paul Tikalsky teamed up with clinical assistant professor Jim Martin from the Spears School of Business and associate professor Dan Shoup from the College of Arts and Sciences to instruct the scouts and award badges.

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 2, 2017) – Tanaji Paul (pictured right), doctoral candidate in mechanical and aerospace engineering, won first place at the CEAT Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition with his thesis on the sintering of amorphous alloys for structural application.

(STILLWATER, Okla., February 23, 2017) – Sixteen construction management technology (CMT) students and two architecture students competed at the Region 5 Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Student Competition.
During a 16-hour work period on campus, the design and build, heavy civil and commercial building teams produced estimates, schedules, site specific logistics and safety plans that were included in their proposals. The design/build team also created a building design.

(STILLWATER, Okla., February 21, 2017) – CEAT’s Division of Engineering Technology partnered with the Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT) in South Korea to host three visiting student interns at the Stillwater campus.
Hochul Noh, Jinho Jung and Jaein Lee, junior students in the department of mechanical engineering at KIT, participated in a five-week program. During their stay, they attended mechanical engineering technology classes, gained hands-on experience in CEAT’s labs and created projects.

(STILLWATER, Okla., February 3, 2017) – The School of Chemical Engineering at OSU hosted its 17th annual ChemE Car competition.
The competition consisted of two parts: poster and car. Participants divided into four teams of four to five students to prepare a poster and build a car. Each team delivered a poster presentation that detailed the cost and creation of its car. Judges were from the Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, which also sponsored the event.
