SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Funding
CEAT Scholars receive scholarship packages between $19,000-$47,000 minimum from OSU and CEAT combined. The packages include $15,000 from CEAT in cash scholarships and enrichment and In-State or Out-of-State partial tuition waivers from OSU. In-State partial tuition waiver consists of at least $4,000 over 4 years and Out-of-State partial tuition waiver of at least $32,000 over 4 years.
The $15,000 CEAT scholarship package includes a $3,000 cash scholarship for 4 years, $1,000 in enrichment over 4 years and $2,000* for potential travel expenses. The CEAT Scholars Program is made possible by several scholarship funds and the generous donors who support them.
Enrichment
Much more goes into preparing CEAT Scholars for success after graduation than that which occurs inside the classrooms at OSU. The opportunity for a unique set of enrichment activities truly sets the program apart from other scholarships. CEAT Scholars participate in leadership training through 5 categories: cultural, professional development, industry tours, community service, and networking. They also have one-on-one interaction with peer mentors, faculty mentors and corporate and industry leaders. Examples of past enrichment opportunities include:
-
Murder Mystery Theatre -
Phantom of the Opera -
Glassblowing -
Salaries and Negotiations -
From Backpack to Briefcase -
Zeeco Tour -
Habitat for Humanity
International Experience
Global competition is a reality for the nation’s leading industrial firms and a way of life for the intellectual leaders of those firms. Each CEAT Scholar will graduate fully prepared to walk into any organization with an understanding of the global marketplace and its impact on that industry and this country. Following their junior year, CEAT Scholars may have the opportunity to travel internationally. During their first three years as a CEAT Scholar, they — together with Allen Scholars — choose countries they would like to visit in order to experience the reason behind the 14 Grand Challenges for Engineering
