Note from the Director

OSU family and friends,
The Endeavor remains on-schedule to be ready for the Fall semester of 2018.  We are currently in the process of purchasing capital equipment such as Wind Tunnel, Flume, Absorption, and Two-Phase Flow apparatuses; which will provide undergraduates students with industrially relevant experiences that will be unique to OSU.  We are also purchasing state-of-the-art materials testing equipment, such has Universal Test Machines, that are used in industry.  Most importantly, students will get hands-on experience using all the new equipment purchased.
We appreciate input from students, faculty, alumni, and Industrial Advisory Boards. These ideas have led to developing a new interdisciplinary teaching model using industrial standards, needs and equipment.  From “job safety assessments” (JSA) before staring experiments to environmental conscious waste disposal after the experiment, your input will positively affect future CEAT graduates.
Again, thank you for your support.
Dr. Brad Rowland
Director of Endeavor

About Endeavor

Endeavor will inspire faculty to develop and implement new pedagogies focused on how undergraduate engineering, architecture and engineering technology students understand, apply and innovate engineering principles and operations.

These pedagogies will enhance academic outcomes through hands-on education, interdisciplinary and collaborative problem-solving and entrepreneurial innovation.

Interdisciplinary focus will be provided for Mechatronics & Robotics, Energy & Power, Process & Transport, Environmental, Flow Systems, Materials & Design, and Digital Manufacturing. Maker spaces, senior design studios, and Industry Aligned labs will spark interdisciplinary creativity and entrepreneurship.
