Incoming Freshmen & Transfer Students

By completing an OSU Admission Application and indicating a major within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, you will be considered for nearly all CEAT scholarships based on eligibility. You must submit a completed OSU admission application by Feb. 1 to be considered. To be considered for priority CEAT freshman scholarships, please complete your OSU admissions application by November 1.

W. W. ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

The W. W. Allen Scholars Program includes more than $135,000 in scholarship, enrichment activities, professional development and national and international travel, followed by full tuition and housing for a Master of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Two new awards are made each year. Five additional essays must be completed by Dec. 1 to finalize your application for the W. W. Allen Scholarship. The W. W. Allen Boys & Girls Club Scholars Program awards more than $75,000 toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering for a former, active high school Boys & Girls Club member. It also includes enrichment activities, professional development and national and international travel.  One new award is made each year. Five additional essays must be completed by Feb. 15 to finalize your application for the W. W. Allen Boys & Girls Club Scholarship. Visit your application portal to complete the process.

Funding for the two scholarships comes from generous donations by W. Wayne Allen, retired CEO and Chairman of the Phillips Petroleum Company.

CEAT SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The CEAT Scholars Program includes a package worth over $19,000 for a select group of students. The program engages mentors, creates global awareness and develops leaders through a unique set of enrichment activities in the categories of cultural, professional development, industry tours and community service. In addition to these experiences, students included in the CEAT Scholar Programs participate in summer tours abroad.
 
Up to 100 scholars are selected each year into this prestigious program after attending the CEAT Scholars Interview Weekend. To be invited to CEAT Scholars Interview Day, students must meet the minimum qualifications of 31 ACT or 1390 SAT and 3.75 GPA. Students must submit their OSU application AND be accepted to OSU by Nov. 1 to be invited to interview. Once invited, students must reply 'attending' via their application portal by Nov. 9. CEAT Scholars Interview Weekend will be held on Dec. 1 or 2.

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Students involved in FIRST Robotics are required to send a letter of recommendation from the program instructor in order to be considered for FIRST Robotics scholarships.

Twenty new students are selected each year to receive a one time $1,000 scholarship. Visit your application portal after Nov. 1 to send a letter of recommendation request to your instructor. Once your instructor submits the letter, you will both receive a notification of completion.

Students involved in Project Lead the Way, Pre-Engineering or another STEM academy are required to send a letter of recommendation from the program instructor in order to be considered for STEM scholarships.

Fifteen to twenty new students are selected each year to receive a $10,000 total scholarship beginning at $1,000 the freshman year and increasing by $1,000 each year in the program until receiving $4,000 in the senior year. Visit your application portal after Nov. 1 to send a letter of recommendation request to your instructor. Once your instructor submits the letter, you will both receive a notification of completion.
