Dr. Ozgur Capraz and his team have been collaborating with Skydweller, Inc. and Dr. Keisha Walters from the University of Arkansas about battery technologies for unmanned aviation vehicles (UAVs).  Their industrial-academia collaboration efforts titled “High Energy Batteries for UAVs” were recently awarded $750,000 by the Air Force Small Business Technology Transfer Program (STTR) Phase II program.  The effort is led by Skydweller, Inc.  In this collaborative project, Dr. Capraz and his team will receive $110,000 to test the performance of battery modulus during flight simulations.
