Two Chemical Engineering students receive AIChE awards

Two Chemical Engineering students received award recognition from the National American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Jose Chavez was selected for the 2021-2022 Donald F. Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award. This award is presented by AIChE to a student member of each chapter who has attained the highest scholastic grade-point average in their freshman and sophomore years on the recommendation of the chapter advisor.
John Steichen was selected for the First Year Student Recognition Award. This award is presented to a student member of each chapter who has been the most active in their chapter during their first year.
Both students will receive a certificate, complimentary registration for the 2022 AIChE Annual Student Conference, recognition on the AIChE web page, recognition at the 2022 Annual Conference, and $50.00.
