The Freshman Research Scholars Program at OSU enables freshman students to engage in cutting-edge research under the guidance of innovative faculty mentors. Each student receives a $1,000 scholarship and is required to be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students are also required to submit a progress report in November giving an overview of the fall research experience and summarizing plans for the spring semester. In the spring semester, students are required to present their results at the Freshman Research Scholars Symposium and submit a final program evaluation.
