OSU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering receives the NCEES Engineering Education award

OSU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CIVE) won a $10,000 award for the 2022 NCEES Engineering Education Award for one of their senior design projects titled "Town Water Supply Engineering Design".
The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) is an American non-profit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyers. The Engineering Education award recognizes programs that help with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)' commitment to promoting professional licensure as a means of protecting the public.
The Senior Design team submitted their project proposal to NCEES that focused on a water tank in Samburg, Tennessee that is approaching failure. Repairs need to be made to the current foundation to stabilize the water tanks, or the tank needs to be relocated.
