SFPE has recognized 9 of its members as Fellows for 2021, including Dr. Virginia Charter of CEAT's Division of Engineering Technology. SFPE Fellows represent a distinguished group of members who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to Fellow not only recognizes the achievements of fire protection and fire safety engineers as individuals, but also their significant contributions to fire protection engineering and society globally.
Out of a total SFPE Membership of over 4,700, there are only 331 fellows. The 9 members recommended to Fellow by the 2021 Qualifications Subcommittee and approved by the SFPE Board of Directors are listed below. SFPE President Jack Poole, P.E., FSFPE remarked on the newly-named Fellows, “We are excited to recognize and honor the recently elected Fellows of our Society... Congratulations! This Class of 2021 Fellows represents their high level of dedication, service and commitment to the Society and to the profession, which characterizes them to achieve the grade of Fellow. We sincerely thank them for their service, commitment and valued contributions to date, and look forward to their continued service and leadership to the Society in the future. Welcome the Class of 2021 Fellows!”
