On November 21, 2024, Oklahoma State University fire protection and safety engineering technology students toured the National Standard Manufacturing facility in Stillwater, Oklahoma as part of an occupational and industrial safety course. FPSET partners with National Standard in numerous courses including Occupational and Industrial Safety, Human Factors in Accident Prevention, and Senior Research projects.

 

The program has worked with National Standard for many years to provide student tours of their facility to provide first-hand experience in research areas such as workplace ergonomic issues, material handling problems in manufacturing processes.
