Congratulations to Campbell Woxell, Carly Gotcher, and Paul Hodgden (left to right) for placing first in the Fall 2023 ECE Senior Design Competition.  They designed a Custom Fiber Bragg Grating Etching System, which is used in state-of-the-art sensing applications. Their system provides the ability to load, position, and etch custom-designed fiber Bragg gratings into single mode optical fibers using custom software that guides the user through a semi-autonomous process. They were advised by Dr. Scott Mattison, ECE assistant professor.
