NACADA awarded ECE academic adviser Kristal Soderstrom-Junkens with the Certificate of Merit of the Outstanding Advising Award - Primary Advising Role. This highly competitive award recognizes Kristal’s commitment to quality academic advice that she gives on a daily basis to ECE students. NACADA is a global community of 14,000 plus professionals whose job function includes academic advising in higher education.

 

Sara Ayres, assistant director of CEAT Student Academic Services, was also given an award by NACADA. Both will be honored at NACADA’s annual conference in October 2023. Additional information is available here.

 

NACADA hosts an Annual Conference, 10 Regional Conferences, an International Conference, and undertake intensive study of advising through various other events held throughout the year. NACADA publishes the NACADA Journal, Academic Advising Today and other special publications. NACADA offers online training, manages an Academic Advising Consultants and Speakers Service, offers members leadership opportunities in running the member-drive organization, funds research grants, and supports Advising Communities to address important issues.
