Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) student Melissa Mata was selected as the IEM Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Scholarship recipient.

Mata received a $1,000 scholarship based on her academic performance and overall achievements.

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Be a senior or junior in IEM
• Be a member of IISE
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Answer questionnaire responses
• Provide a resume and transcript with application
• Application responses received at the IEM office by the designated deadline

A sub-committee of three IAB members reviews and evaluates each of the applicants.

All IAB members will then review the "Top 5" candidate applications based on the following priority:

• Responses to application questions
• Financial need
• Grade Point Average
• If they have been awarded other scholarships in the past
