Mark Prather is President of Centranet, LLC a Fiber-to-the-Home broadband subsidiary under Central Rural Electric Cooperative serving 7 counties in north central Oklahoma. Centranet has over 4,000 subscribers after signing up the first member in July of 2021.

 

Mark’s expertise prior to working in the ISP environment stems from 21 years in the Defense Industry, his latest role as VP of Manufacturing and Operations for FLIR (now Teledyne FLIR) where he ran operations at four US sites overseeing production, customer support, and training of 50+ complex electro-mechanical systems sold into the CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiation, Nuclear, Explosives) threat detection sectors.

 

Mark enjoys building high performing teams and growing organizational value, factoring in risk, reward, culture, resources, and schedule. He gains trust by listening and empathizing and truly caring for people. Mark has been married for 37 years and has 2 grown children that he is very proud of – just ask him! He has a degree Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He takes fitness seriously, evidenced by a CrossFit Level-2 Training Certification.
