Prior to joining the OSU FPSET program in 2016, he worked in Melbourne, Australia as a Fire Safety Engineer and in Wellington, New Zealand as a Fire Research Engineer. In Australia, he participated in a variety of performance-based fire safety design projects such as residential, industrial, hospital, commercial office and mall buildings. In New Zealand, he focused on research activities on the building egress components for people with disabilities and the phenomena of projected flames out of an external wall opening.
At OSU FPSET, he teaches Fire Dynamics, Industrial Ventilation and Smoke Control, Fire and Evacuation Modeling. His research includes compartment fire phenomena, ignition and suppression of various fuel types, fire risk assessment methodology and exit route selection of people in emergency conditions.
