Chad Frye
Chad was born and raised in the small town of Fort Scott, Kansas. He graduated from
OSU in 1995 with a BS in Industrial Engineering & Management.
Chad’s IE degree has allowed great flexibility to contribute to many different industries,
including building materials manufacturing, aerospace, oil & gas, and financial services.
After graduating from OSU, Chad joined U.S. Gypsum, starting as a Project Engineer
in Southard, OK before becoming Engineering & Shipping Manager at the Dallas, TX plant.
Chad’s next role was Industrial Engineer with Boeing Commercial Electronics (later
BAE Systems) in Irving, TX, where he earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. A proud
achievement at this facility was leading a team of shop floor employees who earned
a Chairman’s Award for step-function Lean improvements. Chad also served on the OSU
Industrial Advisory Board during this time.
In 2010, Chad switched gears from aviation to the oil & gas industry when he joined
Halliburton’s Lean team in Carrollton, TX. Two years later, he joined Pioneer Natural
Resources in Irving, TX, starting with the internal consulting team and ultimately
serving as Senior Manager of Platform Development & Support in IT. In 2021, Chad
ventured into the financial services sector as a Process Manager with Capital One.
On the home front, Chad and Amanda have been married since 1996. They enjoy spending
time with their daughter Claire. In addition to being a proud supporter of the Pokes,
Chad is a life-long fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
