Chad Frye

Chad was born and raised in the small town of Fort Scott, Kansas.  He graduated from OSU in 1995 with a BS in Industrial Engineering & Management.

Chad’s IE degree has allowed great flexibility to contribute to many different industries, including building materials manufacturing, aerospace, oil & gas, and financial services.

After graduating from OSU, Chad joined U.S. Gypsum, starting as a Project Engineer in Southard, OK before becoming Engineering & Shipping Manager at the Dallas, TX plant.

Chad’s next role was Industrial Engineer with Boeing Commercial Electronics (later BAE Systems) in Irving, TX, where he earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.  A proud achievement at this facility was leading a team of shop floor employees who earned a Chairman’s Award for step-function Lean improvements.  Chad also served on the OSU Industrial Advisory Board during this time.

In 2010, Chad switched gears from aviation to the oil & gas industry when he joined Halliburton’s Lean team in Carrollton, TX.  Two years later, he joined Pioneer Natural Resources in Irving, TX, starting with the internal consulting team and ultimately serving as Senior Manager of Platform Development & Support in IT.  In 2021, Chad ventured into the financial services sector as a Process Manager with Capital One.

On the home front, Chad and Amanda have been married since 1996.  They enjoy spending time with their daughter Claire.  In addition to being a proud supporter of the Pokes, Chad is a life-long fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.
