Gary Hogsett
As a Sr. Energy Management Specialist at MAMTC, my objective is to advise manufacturers
in Kansas how to utilize energy so that they the ability to grow and be competitive
in the local and global economy. Small and medium-sized manufacturers often do not
have the awareness, the time or the resources to implement positive energy changes
in their businesses. I work hard to help provide them access to information, solutions
and resources they need to be successful.
As a energy expert with 40 years of experience in energy management and energy engineering,
my work has allowed me to perform energy analysis studies for more than 4,000 buildings
and engineer and manage several hundred multidisciplinary energy management projects
involving lighting and lighting controls, steam systems, compressed air systems, HVAC,
high-efficiency condensing boilers, chillers, cooling towers, ground source heat pumps,
wall insulation, roof insulation, and replacement windows.
Energy is a passion of mine. So is speaking. I have given more than 300 presentations
regarding energy management and alternative energy, was selected as a speaker at the
World Energy Engineering Congress on nine different occasions, and have won nine Toastmasters
International public speaking contests at the District and Regional level.
When I am not focusing on energy, helping Kansas manufacturers or at speaking engagements,
I am also work as City Commissioner to make Independence, KS an exceptional place
to live.
