Dr. Jack B. ReVelle’s professional career includes over a decade in the U.S. Air Force
as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer. The highest rank he held was Major.
His later careers were spent in aerospace (General Dynamics, McDonnell Douglas, Hughes
Aircraft, and GenCorp Aerojet), in academia (founding chair of the Decision Sciences
Program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and founding dean of the School and
Business and Management at Chapman University), and as a consulting statistician.
During this same period, he wrote texts and software as well as produced satellite
telecasts and webcasts/webinars. Dr. ReVelle was a fellow of three professional societies,
has been selected for inclusion in four Who’s Who publications, has been awarded five
military and civilian medals, and inducted into two collegiate halls of fame.
