James Selman
Jim graduated from OSU with his Bachelors in IEM in December 1991 after completing 6 years in the Navy Nuclear Power Program. Jim went to work for Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) as an Engineer Trainee and traveled Oklahoma as a Field Engineer. His career led him to support Field Customer Service activities and as a young engineer was on the transition team to bring Kansas Gas Service (KGS) into ONEOK. He also worked in Transportation Marketing for ONEOK Gas Transportation before returning to ONG as one of the three Area Managers for the Tulsa Metropolitan Area, where he served on the Broken Arrow School Foundation and the Board of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce. Jim moved to the ONEOK Corporate offices to lead efforts on Field Service Metrics across all three divisions (ONG, KGS and Texas Gas Service) and subsequent efforts to replace the Scheduling, Dispatch and Field Data Capture systems for Field Service. That project led Jim to be one of the Business Process Owners for the ONE Gas transformation project to move all of the Operations and Compliance activities into electronic data capture systems across all three divisions and integrate to Maximo (Enterprise Asset Management) and GIS. Jim is now a Director of the ONE Gas Work Management Systems where he leads teams of Business Analysts, GIS Analysts and Applications Trainers to support all of the Work Management Systems. The employees are spread across the enterprise and are influential in improving the processes used within the Work Management Systems as well as working with peers in IT to design and implement new functionality to be incorporated in the systems. In January Jim will be starting his 30th year with ONE Gas. Jim has two grown daughters that both attended Oklahoma State University; his youngest is an Elementary School teacher in Amarillo Texas and his oldest works for Integris Hospitals in Oklahoma City as a Sonographer.
