Jamie Matlock

Jamie Matlock earned her BS degree in Industrial Engineering & Management at Oklahoma State University in 2003. Over the past 16 years, she has risen rapidly through the ranks at Devon. She has held technical and leadership roles at Devon in reservoir engineering, completions, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, drilling, operations, and regulatory affairs. Jamie’s current position is Planning Manager for the Rockies Business Group. She thrives on leading people to achieve shared goals and connecting the engineering and strategic planning aspects of Devon.

Jamie is passionate about mentoring men and women in the workforce. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Oklahoma Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network and served as President-Elect in 2019. She also volunteers and contributes to local organizations such as Hearts for Hearing, Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Allied Arts, Alzheimer’s Association and Make a Wish Foundation. She serves as a Girl Scouts troop leader for her daughter’s Daisies troop, and her family stays connected to an organization expanding across Oklahoma called Hearts for Hearing since two of her children were born with hearing loss and wear hearing aids.

During her time at OSU, Jamie served as an executive director of Camp Cowboy and Varsity Revue. Her greatest memory of OSU occurred when she was standing on the field in Boone Pickens Stadium and heard her name called as the Homecoming Queen. Jamie strongly believes that OSU and her IEM degree prepared her for the business world, leadership, and life in general.

Jamie and her husband (James) have been married 10 years and have three children (Bobby, Jordan, and Blaire). Jamie and her husband share a passion for giving back to the people and places who have made a difference in their lives. After receiving an email from IEM about the renovation project for the third floor of Engineering North and reflecting on her collegiate years in OSU's School of Industrial Engineering and Management, she felt compelled to make a significant naming contribution to this meaningful project for a school that truly served as a foundation for her professional life.
