Jason Axtell

After earning his BS degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from OSU in 1986, Jason Axtell began his professional career with the American Airlines maintenance facility in Tulsa. During an eight-year tenure, Jason distinguished himself through progressive staff and leadership roles from planning aircraft maintenance to facilities engineering.

Following his tenure with American Airlines, Jason established a productive consulting career serving in a variety of industries across a wide range of companies. Project locations were in several states as well as Southeast Asia. He focused on lean manufacturing principles to achieve measurable and meaningful performance results. Continuing education certifications include CPIM with APICS and Six Sigma Black Belt.

Seeking to calm his travel schedule, Jason took a position with a Tulsa based Engineering and Architecture firm in 1998. In 2002, Jason served as the Lean Manufacturing Champion for a rapidly growing aerospace company in Oklahoma.

In the summer of 2007, Jason acquired Iron Décor of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Iron Décor is a metal working company, which provides architectural metalwork for residential and commercial building projects. Under Jason’s leadership, Iron Décor has become a valued partner of many Tulsa architects, builders and commercial developers.

Jason’s journey from Industrial Engineer, Lean Practitioner and Entrepreneur provide a set of life and work experiences which give him a unique perspective. Jason and his wife LaWana enjoy raising their high school aged son Logan.
