Jim Poteet

As the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Development, Jim Poteet focuses on technical system strategy design including business analytics, and core clinical solutions. Jim is also considered an Oracle Cerner SME for electronic payments, PCI, HIPPA x.12 transactions and financial blockchain technologies. He makes an impact on Oracle Cerner and our clients by ensuring quality and system availability of RevCycle Analytics, Clinical Reporting, Acute Case Management, and Health Information Management solutions. Leadership experience Jim is a leader who combines business acumen with extensive technology experience. His experience includes Big Four consulting, start-up, mezzanine, private and public companies. Jim joined Oracle Cerner in 2002 as an experienced hire and rejoined Cerner in 2013 as a Sr. Director in IP. He has led a multi-year, 300+ software engineer projects for Oracle Cerner. Jim led solution testing partner client relationships for RevCycle solutions. He currently leads software engineering teams in Kansas City, Malvern, Bangalore, and Kolkata. Accomplishments During his time at Oracle Cerner, Jim has led product development and software engineering for a SaaS platform within RevCycle including insurance eligibility, claims processing, credit card processing, etc. New products added tens of millions in top line revenue. Authored 6 pending patents. Jim is an active local business/technology mentor for CEO’s of new companies through Enterprise Center in Johnson County. Jim is a graduate of Oklahoma State and has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Jim has had numerous leadership roles outside of Oracle Cerner including CIO, COO, VP of Technology in multiple organizations. Jim has a CRCR certification from HFMA. Jim has given presentations at numerous conferences.
