Lawrence Whitmanm, Ph.D.

Lawrence Whitman received his BSET from OSU in 1984 and his MSIE in 1986. He has been married to Heidi, whom he met at OSU, for 30 years. They have two children Joshua (OSU ME graduate Class of 2015) and David (currently at University or Arkansas Little Rock). After studying at OSU, Larry went to Texas and was a practicing engineer at General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for 10 years. He completed his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. He then spent 16 years as a faculty member of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Wichita State and as Associate Dean of Engineering. He is now the Dean of the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
