Nancy Winchester, Ph.D.


Dr. Nancy Winchester graduated with a Ph.D. in organometallic chemistry under the direction of Prof. Joseph A. Heppert in 1994, focusing on transition metal catalysis.  After completing postdoctoral research with Prof. Malcolm H. Chisholm at Indiana University, she joined Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK.  She completed a Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management at Oklahoma State University in 2000.  Leveraging the MSETM program, Dr. Winchester left the lab and relocated to Houston, TX with Chevron Phillips Chemical, to serve in roles including technical services director, new product and technology manager, and technical chemical and fuel sales.  Dr. Winchester then accepted roles at Chevron, in Houston and later in Newfoundland, Canada, managing technical research alliances with industry, academic, and national laboratory partners to deliver new technologies to the O&G industry.  Dr. Winchester then held technology vice president roles at the Research and Development Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador and at Danchem, a custom chemical manufacturer.  Currently, she serves as Senior Program Manager for the Tire and Rubber Division of Momentive Performance Materials, a leader in silane and silicone technologies, and is based in Charlotte, NC.
