Silvanus Udoka, Ph.D.
Silvanus Udoka is the dean of Clark Atlanta University's (CAU) School of Business Administration. He previously served as professor and chair of the Department of Management, and held a joint appointment in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, at North Carolina A&T University (NCA&T).
The author of more than 90 scholarly articles, refereed journal entries, book chapters, case studies and conference presentations, Silvanus serves as a technical reviewer for the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the National Science Foundation. In the past decade, he has generated more than $3.5 million in grant-funded research underwritten by organizations including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Lockheed Martin.
Silvanus earned the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering and management from Oklahoma State University. He is a board member of the Global Opportunities Center in Greensboro, N.C., and the Healthy Communities Working Group of the Piedmont Triad Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Project. He also is a member of APICS, the leading provider of supply chain management research, education and certification, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the American Society of Engineering Education. He is a member of four honor societies: Beta Gamma Sigma (an international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International), Alpha Pi Mu (industrial engineering), Tau Beta Pi (representing the entire engineering profession) and Phi Kappa Phi (the nation’s oldest, most selective honor society for all academic disciplines).
