Focus of OSU ITAC
We are funded by the United States Department of Energy (US DOE). Under the direction and supervision of the US DOE's Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation, the Industrial Training Assessment Centers (ITACs) provide extensive energy-efficiency services to small and medium-sized manufacturers as well as water and wastewater treatment plants in the United States.
The cohort of thirty-five (35) ITACs serve all the regions of the United States. ITACs provide energy, water, waste, and productivity assessments for clients in their respective regions.
Our ITAC team is an experienced staff of Oklahoma State University faculty members and students. Dr. Hitesh Vora currently serves as ITAC Director and Dr. Michael McCombs serves as an Assistant Director.
At any one time, we have a staff of six to ten students ranging from Ph.D. to M.S. to undergraduate students. We have a satellite location at Wichita State University (Assistant Directors at WSU ITAC - Dr. Mehmet Bayram Yildirim and Dr. Deepak Gupta).

Mission: Our mission is to provide our clients with industrial assessments that will help them reduce energy and waste and increase productivity, while educating and training the next generation of energy, waste, and productivity professionals.
Focus: We focus on energy, water, waste, and productivity issues within your plant to make it more efficient and productive.
