Our work in the above research areas is partially supported by the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Office.

We are involved with Rice University, and the University of Houston on developing biomimetic materials under an Army Research Office Multi-University Research Initiative (MURI) grant. Biomimetic materials are those which mimic biological materials found in nature.
