Biography:

Prof. Pranjal Nautiyal is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University. His research focuses on advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and experimental mechanics. His group’s current research foci include cold spray additive manufacturing, nanostructured materials, and tribology in harsh environments. Prof. Nautiyal obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Florida International University (2020), focusing on microstructure design and mechanics of nanostructured metal matrix composites. He conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in nanotribology and mechanochemistry. He has authored one book and over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles. He also holds 7 US patents, two of which have been licensed. He received an Early Career Researcher Award from the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers in 2023 and was named a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors.
