Welcome to the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering!  Each semester our faculty and staff create exceptional, hands-on, intellectually stimulating learning opportunities for our students.  The research and teaching expertise of our faculty along with state-of-the-art undergraduate and research laboratories drive these experiences.   We invite you to meet our staff, get to know our faculty and visit our laboratories.

Students in Mechanical Engineering at OSU endure intensive academic programs and gain hands-on experience with exciting projects, preparing them for careers after graduation. Whether students are battling robots, working on cars or other capstone projects, they are able to take theories learned in the classroom and apply them to real-world situations.

Dr. de Azevedo elected to national aviation weather steering committee

Dr. Gustavo B.H. de Azevedo, research assistant professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering/Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education and adjunct professor for the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been elected to serve on the steering committee of the Friends and Partners in Aviation Weather.
