Russell, professor of civil and environmental engineering at Oklahoma State University, has been invited to join the inaugural class of the CEES Academy at the University of Oklahoma. This prestigious honor recognizes Russell's outstanding contributions to the field of civil and environmental engineering and his excellent service to the academic community.

A student chapter was founded 75 years ago at Oklahoma A&M University, Jan. 23, 1950. The anniversary of the founding was celebrated with a get together at the Zink Center, Jan. 23, 2025, bringing members of the OSU student chapter together with members of the Northeastern Oklahoma and Central Oklahoma chapters.
